Salsa

Alexa Brown

I must admit, chips & salsa is probably one of my favorite things to eat. He knows anytime he wants to make me smile, he has to get me some chips& salsa.  The thing is, I am picky about my salsa.  I don't really like store bought salsas and trust me, I have tried many.  I have found that I can make salsa that is fresh and delicious on my own.  It's pretty simple to prepare and make.  I know there are so many salsa recipes out there, but this is favorite.  Give it a try, tell me what you think and tell me about your favorite salsa.  I would really love to try your favorite recipe for homemade salsa.  I am sure there are some more combinations of ingredients that I would love!  Please go share your salsa recipes!  Tag @hbgcommunity and use the hashtags #hbggirls and #hbgblog.  Here's my recipe!

Ingredients

1/3 cup cilantro, chopped and fresh

3 garlic cloves

1 4.5 ounce of green chilies (I like spicy)

1 jalapeno, chopped

1 red onion, chopped

5 tomatoes, chopped

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients into a blender or food processer.

2. Puree until your desired consistency.  I like my salsa to be smooth so I blend it until it is smooth.  It's going to taste yummy no matter how chunky or smooth it is!

3. Enjoy with chips, veggies or on top of your favorite food!

I hope you love it!
